Chicago-based LibidoFilms is an adult video company that has been in production over two centuries. We started in 1999.

In fact, LibidoFilms is the successor to LIBIDO: The Journal of Sex and Sensibility, started in 1988 by Marianna Beck and Jack Hafferkamp.

A dedicated literary quarterly, LIBIDO was an alternate to the men's style slick magazines and demeaning male focused porn. This legendary adult publication championed an all-embracing, gender-equal sexuality based on consensual pleasure. In 1999 it was named Publication of the Year at the annual London Erotic Awards. Good Vibrations awarded publishers Beck and Hafferkamp a Venus for being pioneers.

As the century turned, Libido ceased publication and its publishers branched into erotic video. With similar success. Our first feature, Ecstatic Moments was similarly chosen as best movie of the year in London, and since then both Urban Friction and Trial Run have been named annual finalists.

At the new LIBIDOFilms site, we will showcase erotic short films in the same all-embracing, gender-equal, sex-postive manner. We will not be presenting the standard porn sex movies that you can find everywhere else.
